Collection: DTF TRANSFERS

DTF transfers (Direct-to-Film transfers) are one of the easiest and most flexible ways to put full-color designs onto shirts, hoodies, bags, and more. Here’s the quick, practical breakdown so you can use them confidently:

What DTF Transfers Are:

They’re printed designs on a clear PET film using special inks. You apply them to fabric using a heat press—no weeding, no cutting, no pretreat.

What You Can Press Them On

  • Cotton (light or dark)
  • Polyester
  • Blends
  • Nylon (most)
  • Canvas
  • Tote bags, clothing, some hats

They work on almost anything that can handle a heat press.

Why People Love DTF

  • Super vibrant colors
  • Fine detail capable (tiny text stays crisp)
  • Durable (40–50+ washes)
  • Stretchy and soft compared to vinyl
  • Small runs are affordable

How to Press DTF Transfers

Here’s the standard method (may vary by supplier):

  1. Pre-press garment
3–5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
  2. Position transfer
    Ink side touching the garment.
  3. Press
    • Temperature: 300–325°F
    • Time: 10–15 seconds
    • Pressure: Medium–firm
  4. Peel
    • Either hot, warm, or cold depending on the film type.
    • Final press (optional but recommended)
  5. 5 seconds with parchment paper to soften finish and add durability.

 Common Issues & Fixes

  • Edges lifting: Increase pressure.
  • Dull colors: Increase temp slightly or add final press.
  • Wrinkling: Lower heat or shorten press time.
  • Cracking after washes: Make sure to firmly pressure and final press.
